When purchasing a puppy, either show or pet quality, please ask the breeder about health testing that has been done for Dam and Sire. You can find all the necessary information on the appropriate testing for Great Danes on Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) website. You can also check the validity of the information provided by the breeder. You can search by the AKC registered name or AKC registration number.

You can also consider adopting a Great Dane. The link below will take you to the Harlequin Haven Great Dane Rescue website. They are a large rescue organization with the facility capable of housing over 50 Danes.
